Welcome to the enchanting world of Tears of the Kingdom, where you'll
uncover fascinating and revolutionary gameplay elements that will leave you
in awe. Among the many innovative features, Link's newfound ability, Fuse,
takes center stage. Imagine wielding the power to combine ordinary objects
like logs or rocks and craft them into formidable weapons on the fly.
Witnessing Aonuma's demonstration of transforming a simple arrow into a
homing projectile by fusing a monster eyeball with it was truly impressive.
However, be forewarned, the notorious weapon degradation mechanic from
Breath of the Wild returns, introducing a mix of excitement and challenge as
you wield Link's stick swords, which may shatter after just a few swings.
Another incredible ability at your disposal is the Ultrahand, empowering you
to create more than just weapons. With it, you'll have the ability to build
larger objects like cars, boats, and even flying machines using the scrap
and debris scattered throughout Hyrule.
Tears of the Kingdom unveils a transformed realm, where vast landmasses
float gracefully in the sky. To explore these sky islands, you'll master the
art of Recall, a unique skill allowing you to manipulate time for specific
objects.
Witness how Aonuma cleverly employs Recall on a falling rock, transforming
it into a magnificent elevator, transporting Link to the sky island of his
choosing. But remember, there are multiple ways to reach these aerial
wonders, and you'll be enticed to craft your own eccentric contraptions for
this purpose.
Get ready to embark on an extraordinary adventure in a world brimming with
imagination and possibilities. Tears of the Kingdom will captivate you with
its innovative gameplay mechanics, leaving you eager to explore every corner
of this stunning Hyrule
Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Story
In the kingdom of Hyrule, several years after the events of "Breath of the
Wild," an intriguing tale unfolds. Link and Zelda embark on a daring
journey to explore a cavern beneath Hyrule Castle, where a poisonous
substance called gloom has been causing people to fall ill.
As they delve deeper into the cavern, they stumble upon an ancient mural
depicting Hyrule's founding and the legendary Imprisoning War—an ancient
conflict against the enigmatic "Demon King." Their curiosity leads them to
awaken a malevolent mummy, who attacks them with the toxic gloom. During
the encounter, Link's right arm suffers severe damage, and the Master
Sword shatters, while the mummy raises Hyrule Castle into the sky. In the
midst of the chaos, Zelda mysteriously disappears with a valuable
artifact.
Fortunately, a miraculous turn of events occurs. A disembodied arm, which
had been restraining the mummy, comes to Link's rescue, replacing his
damaged arm with its own essence. On the Great Sky Island, Link encounters
the spirit of Rauru, a Zonai, who reveals the source of his new arm. With
Rauru's guidance, Link traverses the mysterious island, where the
shattered Master Sword vanishes, prompting him to dive back to the surface
below.
The upheaval caused by the cavern's events plunges Hyrule into turmoil.
Link sets out on a mission to investigate the strange phenomena that have
emerged across the kingdom. Along the way, he reunites with familiar
allies, including Sidon, the Zora prince (later king); Tulin, a young Rito
archer and son of Link's past ally, Teba; Yunobo, the Goron president of
YunoboCo, a mining company; and Riju, the chief of the Gerudo. Together,
they venture into ancient Zonai temples, confronting monsters and
uncovering mysterious artifacts.
Throughout their quest, the spirits of ancient sages appear before Link
and his allies, designating them as sages and bequeathing them powerful
secret stones that were once wielded in the distant past. Reports of
Zelda's appearances across Hyrule lead Link to confront an impostor within
Hyrule Castle, revealing herself to be serving the Demon King, Ganondorf,
who was the mummy in the cavern.
Guided by Mineru, another ancient sage who remains connected to the
physical world through spiritual projection, Link learns of Zelda's fate.
The artifact that vanished with her was a secret stone, transporting her
back in time to Hyrule's distant past. There, she encounters Rauru, the
first king of Hyrule, and Sonia, the first queen. Tragically, Ganondorf
kills Sonia and becomes the Demon King.
Rauru appoints Mineru, Zelda, and leaders of the Zora, Rito, Gorons, and
Gerudo as sages, sacrificing himself to seal Ganondorf's power. Zelda
receives the Master Sword, becoming the Light Dragon, and tasks the sages
to aid Link in the future. To restore the Master Sword and bring it to
Link, Zelda swallows her secret stone and undergoes draconification,
transforming into the majestic Light Dragon.
In the present, after purifying the Great Deku Tree from gloom in Korok
Forest, Link retrieves the Master Sword from the Light Dragon. He
confronts Ganondorf beneath Hyrule Castle with the support of Sidon,
Tulin, Yunobo, Riju, and Mineru. Facing a formidable army of monsters,
Link engages in a climactic battle with Ganondorf himself. As the battle
intensifies, Ganondorf consumes his secret stone, transforming into the
fearsome Demon Dragon, soaring into the skies above Hyrule.
With the Light Dragon's assistance, Link wields the Master Sword with
determination, shattering the Demon Dragon's secret stone, bringing about
its demise. Supported by the spirits of Rauru and Sonia, Link successfully
restores Zelda to her true form. He also regains his original right arm.
As Rauru and Sonia's spirits fade away, Link and Zelda finally reunite on
the surface below, bringing an extraordinary journey to its conclusion.
