Disney Dreamlight Valley is a game that blends life-simulation and adventure gameplay, providing players with a captivating experience full of quests, exploration, and fun activities featuring beloved Disney and Pixar characters. both old and new.
The game is set in Dreamlight Valley, a once-idyllic land where Disney and
Pixar characters lived in harmony until an event known as the Forgetting
occurred. The event known as the Forgetting led to the growth of Night
Thorns throughout the land, cutting off the cherished memories associated with
this enchanting place. Consequently, the residents of Dreamlight Valley
withdrew into the Dream Castle, shutting themselves behind locked doors and
feeling despondent.
In the game, players are tasked with discovering the stories of this world and
bringing the magic back to Dreamlight Valley. Currently, Disney
Dreamlight Valley can be accessed in Early Access by individuals who purchase
a Founder’s Pack Edition or possess an Xbox Game Pass membership, prior to the
game's planned free-to-play launch in 2023.
DreamSnaps Update Release Time and Date
Gamers have been eagerly waiting for the next update for Disney Dreamlight
Valley, known as the DreamSnaps update. While Gameloft has been teasing its
release on social media, they haven’t revealed any specific details about its
release date and time.
However, it was known that the update would be released sometime between The
Remembering update in early June and Belle’s update in September, leading
gamers to expect it to drop in mid-July or early August. The good news is that
you don't have to wait any further. The DreamSnaps update for Disney
Dreamlight Valley will be available for download on July 19 at 9 AM ET and 1
PM UTC.

What can be anticipated from the DreamSnaps Update?
The DreamSnaps update for Disney Dreamlight Valley will introduce new quests
featuring Vanellope and the game’s first multiplayer feature, DreamSnaps.
Along with the new content, the update will also include a variety of bug
fixes and improvements aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the Valley.
These improvements will range from better efficiency when hovering around to
performance enhancements specific to the Nintendo Switch version of the
game. The DreamSnaps update introduces an opportunity for gamers to earn free
Moonstones on a regular basis by taking part in community photography
challenges.
By engaging in the weekly contest themes and voting for their preferred
entries, players can receive Moonstones and cosmetic prizes. This makes it
more convenient for fans to acquire Dream Bundles without the need to spend
actual money.
Along with the introduction of the DreamSnaps feature, the character
Vanellope will also be making her debut in the Valley, accompanied by
delightful new Friendship Quests and rewards for players to earn.. Players
will also be able to keep up with Vanellope more efficiently thanks to a
reduction in the energy drain when hovering by approximately 80%.
For players on the Nintendo Switch, the video capture feature built into the
hardware has been disabled to help reduce the frequency of crash

they contemplate additional modifications to enhance performance.
It is important to note that video capture using a capture card and
screenshot capture on the Switch remain unaffected and will continue to
operate normally. General stability on the Nintendo Switch has also been
improved, with further optimization being explored for future updates.
Finally, the stock of Scrooge McDuck’s Store has undergone a minor
adjustment to decrease the likelihood of duplicate items appearing. This is
an initial change as the development team continues to explore this issue
and considers potential modifications for upcoming updates.

Bug Fixes in Dreamlight Valley’s New Update
The DreamSnaps update for Disney Dreamlight Valley introduces several bug
fixes and improvements. For example, an issue that caused the game to hang
at the initial loading screen for some Xbox players has been resolved.
The DreamSnaps update for Disney Dreamlight Valley also addresses an issue
that caused certain bordered paths to display with flipped borders when
placed. Furthermore, the update resolves an issue where certain item visuals
and names did not match in Scrooge McDuck’s Store and fixes an issue where
players were unable to hang out with Fairy Godmother.
Several quest-specific issues have also been resolved, including an issue in
“The Remembered” quest where players were unable to find The Forgotten after
experiencing a game crash, an issue in the “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Oops” quest that
prevented players from giving the gathered materials to Fairy Godmother, and
an issue in the “Hakuna Matata” quest that caused the Relaxing Oasis to
disappear.
The DreamSnaps update for Disney Dreamlight Valley also includes other fixes
and improvements. For example, resolution of an issue where Switch
players would sometimes experience a soft lock when trying to exit Edit Mode
after spending an extended period of time editing their Valley.
Additionally, an issue where Rapunzel’s Summer Sundrop Gown and the
Swan-Feather Pearl Necklace would appear in the Touch of Magic tool has been
fixed (it should be noted that any custom designs made using these two items
will be removed).
The update also addresses an issue on PlayStation 4 where the design print
of certain t-shirts would transfer to newly-equipped t-shirts. It also
includes various localization fixes, visual and sound fixes, and additional
bug fixes, optimizations, and performance stability improvements.
